How to Supercharge Your Next Campaign with Free Microsoft 365 Copilot Tools
Starting a new project or campaign can feel overwhelming, whether you’re running a business, supporting a charity, or launching a personal initiative. I’m Scott Brant, Founder of Your 365 Coach, and today I want to show you how you can use the free version of Microsoft 365 Copilot to make your next campaign easier, more creative, and more collaborative.
Getting Started with Copilot for Free
You don’t need to buy a Copilot license to get started. All you need is access to Microsoft Teams with a business account in Microsoft 365. Once you’re signed in, you can use Copilot on the web to brainstorm ideas, draft content, and collaborate with your team.
Uploading and Using Campaign Documents
Begin by uploading your campaign summary or project outline as a Word document. Copilot will review the content and provide a summary, making it easier to keep everyone on the same page. This is especially useful for teams working on fundraising or awareness campaigns, like the Team Water initiative I demonstrated.
Generating Creative Fundraising Ideas
Ask Copilot to suggest creative and practical fundraising ideas tailored to your team. In my example, Copilot came up with options like a hydration challenge, a lunch and learn, a water bottle decorating contest, and a raffle. These ideas are ready to share and edit with your colleagues.
Suggested use case: Use Copilot to quickly generate event ideas for charity drives, team-building activities, or community outreach.
Collaborating with Copilot Pages
Instead of copying and pasting content, use Copilot Pages (powered by Microsoft Loop) to create collaborative documents. Share these pages with your team so everyone can edit and contribute in real time. Adjust sharing settings to control who can access and edit the content.
Suggested use case: Share fundraising ideas or project plans with your team and collect feedback directly in the document.
Drafting Press Releases and Internal Communications
Copilot can draft press releases and internal emails to announce your campaign. You can open these drafts directly in Word, customise them to fit your brand, and share them with your team or stakeholders.
Suggested use case: Save time by letting Copilot draft your initial press release or internal announcement, then personalise it before distribution.
Creating Posters and Visual Content
Need a poster or image for your campaign? Copilot can generate professional images based on your prompts and campaign details. Download these images or add your own branding before sharing them on social media or in your office.
Suggested use case: Quickly create eye-catching posters for events, challenges, or awareness campaigns without needing graphic design skills.
Copilot can also help you write LinkedIn posts to promote your campaign. Pair your post with the poster image Copilot created and you’re ready to share your message with your network.
Suggested use case: Announce new initiatives or share campaign updates on LinkedIn with professional, on-brand content.
Using these free Microsoft 365 Copilot features, you can move from idea to execution faster and with less stress. You’ll be able to collaborate more effectively, create professional materials, and keep your team engaged throughout the campaign.
